Gaming PC build Radeon RX 480 4GB, Core i5-9600K 6-Core 3.7GHz , 16GB performance review

A PC gaming machine that puts together a Core i5-9600K 6-Core 3.7GHz processor, a Radeon RX 480 4GB GPU and 16GB system memory will be able to play 678 games from the top 1000 recommended requirements. The PC could increase the number of games it can run at recommended requirements to 977 if it upgraded its bottleneck component, the Radeon RX 480 4GB.

Lets compare todays most popular game, Red Dead Redemption 2 with this PC. To summarise, we feel that with the Radeon RX 480 4GB you can enjoy Red Dead Redemption 2 at 1440p resolution pretty comfortably. The graphics card is going to run smoother on High 1440p rather than Ultra, where it would be getting 38 FPS. But when run on 1440p High it would get 53 FPS, and at Medium 79 FPS and then on Low it would return 101 FPS. The Radeon RX 480 4GB would also be good at 1080p Ultra, getting 50 FPS.

2nd most popular game: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - To summarise, we feel that with the Radeon RX 480 4GB you can enjoy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare at 1440p resolution pretty comfortably.

3rd most popular game: Cyberpunk 2077 - To summarise, you may be toying with the idea that a 1440p resolution could be achieved with this Radeon RX 480 4GB graphics card, but in so doing you would have to drop the graphics settings to pretty Low according to our assessment. But let the Cyberpunk 2077 frame rate numbers decide and guide. 1080p Medium 58 FPS, 1080p High setting: 39 FPS, 1080p Ultra setting: 28 FPS, 1440p Low setting: 56 FPS, 1440p Medium setting: 44 FPS. Our Low vs Ultra analysis tells us that you would be better placed running this at 1080p, but at least you could still tinker with graphics settings for 1440p to perhaps be passable?
