Sega is currently having a massive 60th anniversary sale on Steam right now, and whilst a bunch of their most well-known franchises are on some great discounts right now, Sega is also offering up their original 16bit game Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for absolutely free until October 19th.
Miss the good ol’ days of Sonic and Nights into Dreams? Well luckily for us, Square Enix recently revealed Balan Wonderworld, a new 3D action platformer from Sega’s Yuji Naka and Naoto Ohshima. Both have worked on the Sonic and Nights into Dreams titles, with Ohshima himself having created the designs for Sonic and Dr Eggman.

But user SuperSonic68 on Youtube did! He’s only gone and create a fan-made project called Virtua Sonic, that brings the iconic blue hedgehog into the world of virtual reality.

Sega has announced Team Sonic Racing has been delayed. Originally due to launch this winter, Team Sonic Racing has now been pushed back all the way to May 21st, 2019.

After yesterday's leak, Sega has officially revealed Team Sonic Racing, the new kart racing game from Sumo Digital. All of the details from the Walmart store listing were spot on - Team Sonic Racing is an arcade competitive racing game with a single-player Adventure Mode, co-op Team Adventure Mode, and an array of online modes and tournaments.

Having busted open its Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM protection in a matter of days, the PC Sonic Mania community has also discovered the PC version is very much moddable. Users can input their own textures, build their own levels and create their own characters. Naturally, their first port of call was to use it for abominations such as Knuckles Mania, changing everything in Sonic Mania to be the blue blur’s echidna buddy. And we mean everything.
