It comes with a heavy heart that we have to report this: No, Valve is not working on Left 4 Dead 3, despite what you may think. Or at least, that’s the official line Valve's telling us.
If you’re a glutton for punishing yourself, why not take a look at what could’ve been with the emergence of a large batch of alleged screenshots from Left 4 Dead 3. Or, at least what Left 4 Dead 3 could’ve been if Valve actually continued developing the co-op shooter.
Another day, another Left 4 Dead 3 rumour, although this one appears to have a little more substance than usual. The ever secretive Valve has ensured we’ve seen nothing of what’s going on behind the scenes for years, but employee Tristan Reidford might have let the cat out the bag.
Minh ‘Gooseman’ Le, one of the co-creators of the original Counter-Strike, has let slip that both Half-Life 3 and Left 4 Dead 3 are in development.
Valve recently opened their SteamWorks API to developers, which allows them to try and integrate their games with the Steam platform further.
