This weekend is giving us plenty of chances for free games to play, they might not all be free to keep unfortunately, but they’re free nonetheless. The biggest news by far is that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is getting a free weekend to celebrate over 3 million copies sold.
UPDATE: Just a quick PSA for you folks - the Kingdom Come: Deliverance free game giveaway is NOW LIVE. You've got until February 20th to add Kingdom Come: Deliverance to your Epic Games Library. Once you've added it, it's yours to keep forever.
Finally, it’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for. It’s time to up sticks and move on from Skyrim, you’ve all had your fun. There’s a new modding contender in town. Official modding tools have at long last come to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, providing players with the opportunity to get absolutely wild with their own creations.
I suspect a lot of you are about to have two glorious days of sitting around and relaxing as the weekend approaches. If you’re looking for something to fill up those long hours, Warhorse Studio’s excellent Kingdom Come: Deliverance is available to play for free on Steam this entire weekend.
With Kingdom Come: Deliverance’s run of post-launch content coming to an end after 18 almost 18 months of support, Warhorse Studios has now confirmed official modding tools are inbound.
Patience, it must be said, is quite the virtue. This time last year, Kingdom Come: Deliverance ran worse than a one-legged chicken chaser when it arrived on PC. It still does, to be honest, but this chicken chaser is now chasing a fatter chicken, adorned with a bunch of technical fixes and DLC expansions, courtesy of the newly announced Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Royal Edition.
THQ Nordic’s ravenous appetite has seen it devour another studio, and this time it’s a big one. Kingdom Come: Deliverance developer Warhorse Studios hash been bought by THQ Nordic, including all of the IP rights to the Kingdom Come: Deliverance franchise. The original Kingdom Come was published by Koch Media, they of Metro Exodus controversy.
Kingdom Come Deliverance’s third DLC, Band of Bastards, is heading our way on February 5th. Band of Bastards is the third of four planned DLC expansions for Kingdom Come, rounding off an impressive year of support for the historically authentic RPG.
Well, Red Dead Redemption 2 is running rampant, isn't it? There's a vocal core speaking out against its fine form but you're still voting for it in droves. Hopefully the final can present a sterner test. But onwards, to our final semi-final. It's the battle of two PC-focused heavyweights as Kingdom Come: Deliverance steps into the ring with Frostpunk.
Yesterday's battle was a ludicrously close contest. Monster Hunter World gave its all but ultimately fell just short though, with Far Cry 5, Mr Reliable, walking out the eventual winner in a bloody contest. Four games are now through but two slots in the semis still remain. It's time for Kingdom Come: Deliverance versus Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
If you’ve got Kingdom Come: Deliverance in your library, you may have noticed a rather large 10GB patch downloading in the background. Update 1.7.1 for KC:D patches up the new Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon, which came in rather hot and, well, broken.
