Romero Games’ XCOM-like mobster strategy game Empire of Sin has been delayed, publisher Paradox Interactive has announced. Originally due to launch in Spring 2020, Empire of Sin has been rescheduled to Autumn 2020.
We have to admit, a strategy RPG set in the heart of 1920s Prohibition-era Chicago wasn't quite what we were expecting next from John Romero, the legendary creator of Doom, Wolfenstein, and Quake. His team at Romero Games unveiled Empire of Sin at E3 this year. It's a turn-based strategy set in the seedy mob underworld. Build a crime empire, defend and expand territory, and become the number one mob boss in Chicago. Paradox Interactive are picking up publishing duties, which brings certain expectations in terms of strategic depth and longevity.
