Red Hook Studios has unveiled Darkest Dungeon 2, the sequel to one of the most beloved, and punishing, indie hits of 2016.
Ding ding ding! Fight two is coming straight your way. Today you join us for the battle of the RPGs and boy o boy we’ve had some great ones this year. This Christmas we will see the dark overlord of Tyranny take on the underlord of the dark that is Darkest Dungeon. Both titles have definitely rekindled something great about RPGs this year and now both must face their final 2016 challenge… who can bludgeon the other to death. So which is the best RPG, Tyranny versus Darkest Dungeon?
So it seems unfair for us not to give a heads up on this one if you haven’t heard, the guys over at gog are having their “Monstrous Fall Sale” at the moment and you should definitely go check it out, there’s some cheap buys to be had. When better to check out and ponder the bargains than on a crisp autumnal night whilst you sip hot chocolate by the hearth... Or, y’know with the central heating on and a beer in your flat, either or really.
It’s been an Early Access stalwart for close to a year now, but Darkest Dungeon finally emerges battered and bruised from its treacherous lair today. If you’re one of the roughly three people who have always wanted to play this game but haven’t yet, this probably comes as thrilling news.
If you’re unfortunate enough to have been shopping on the Windows Game Store, you may have noticed turn-based roguelike Darkest Dungeon. Well, don’t buy it, the game’s developer has warned, it’s a scam version of the game weighing in at just a 2MB download.
