After Crytek announced and released the official remaster of the very first Crysis game, some leaks suggested they could be working on remasters for the sequels too (as well as a few other secret projects). After teasing and then pretty much confirming a remaster of the second game, the entire Remastered Trilogy has been officially announced.
Crytek’s classic Crysis series started off the whole “yeah, but can it run Crysis” joke over 2 decades ago, and since then they have come out with a remastered version that certainly looks great but ultimately was a little underwhelming given the reputation of the original. However, anticipation has been high for remasters of the rest of the trilogy, and it looks like Crytek have just confirmed it.
Back in April, Crytek teased the world with a remastered version of their infamous PC-melting game Crysis in what seemed like a great April Fools joke. However, it turned out this was no joke, and actually became a real thing. After a large amount of confidential documents relating to Ubisoft and Crytek were leaked last week, savvy internet users have discovered mentions of Crysis 2 & 3 remasters, a Crysis VR game, a Crysis Battle Royale title, and a new Ryse 2 game among more.
It has to be said that Crysis 2 on the PC looks far superior than its console brothers.

Crysis 2 is coming. Trailers are plentiful and the interest is mounting. We have just had news that the Crysis 2 demo date is 1st March. Are you excited?
EDIT - Ok it turns out these are not official. Our feeling is these could be the system requirements for the PC Demo that we are still waiting on. We will leave them up for you to review and decide for yourselves. If anyone spots the "official" requirements then let me know.
Last month Carl Jones, director of global business development at Crytek, said that Crysis 2 will have lower system requirements and better graphics than the original Crysis PC game. The game's engine [CryENGINE 3] will support stereoscopic 3D which they will demonstrate at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) over the coming week.
