Activison recently revealed Call of Duty Warzone, revealing a brand new official trailer and teasing a multiplayer reveal on September 9th. Now some more details have come out including free post-launch content for zombies and multiplayer, crossplay support and more.
Activision have finally officially revealed Call of Duty Warzone, revealing a brand new trailer at the end.
Someone call a plumber, because this year seems to just be full of leaks. Activision recently revealed the existence of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War last week with a new trailer after months of cryptic teases, but some new details have allegedly been leaked online before the official reveal tomorrow.
After numerous teases including Doritos accidentally revealing the game’s title, and a mysterious game popping up on the Microsoft Store, Activision have finally confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War exists. Not just that, but we got a brand new official teaser with a worldwide reveal promised for August 26th.
I think the day when we hear that there actually won’t be a Call of Duty game this year will be a shock, nevertheless Activision recently had their Q2 earnings call and, you guessed it, confirmed that they are indeed working on a new Call of Duty game to come out this year.
We’re getting close to August now and there’s still no official reveal of a new Call of Duty game, which is odd to say the least considering Activision likes to get the ball rolling as quick as possible, usually having an official reveal early on in the year around May or June. But a new promotion seems to have confirmed Call of Duty 2020’s official title, and it seems to have been leaked by Doritos…
It’s quite unusual for Activision to wait this long before revealing the next Call of Duty game, as the news usually starts to trickle out around May or June. But this year’s title has caused a lot of mystery, particularly after the rumors of a Call of Duty Black Ops reboot set entirely in Vietnam surfaced online a while ago, and the mysterious bunkers in Call of Duty Warzone.
The free to play Battle Royale scene is starting to get a bit oversaturated now with everyone trying to compete for their own unique selling point and gimmicks. Despite all that, Call of Duty Warzone has remained at the top of the list since it was first announced, dropping 150 unsuspecting players into the middle of a warzone (heh). Now, Activision has officially announced a limited-time 200 player game mode for CoD Warzone.
Back when the free to play Battle Royale spin off Call of Duty: Modern Warfare seems to have spilled the beans early on several new game modes…
It’s that time of year again, it’s May, close to the end of the month actually, and right about now is when we’d hear something about the next game in the Call of Duty franchise. But this time might be a little different as usual, as Activision could be planning to reveal the next CoD game through Call of Duty Warzone after several secret bunkers were finally opened after the recent update.
It’s pretty known at this point that in any given competitive multiplayer game there will be cheaters who want to spoil the fun, and it’s no surprise that one of the biggest video game franchises in history has some of the worst problems with hackers after releasing their Battle Royale mode as free-to-play. Infinity Ward have already taken some steps to combating the issue, but they’ve now implemented a new security system into Call of Duty Warzone that will hopefully reduce the chances of banned cheaters creating new accounts.
