We’ve had a lot of Terminator tie-ins over the years, most of them not good. The source material hasn’t exactly been strong as of late though, what with a string of god-awful movies. The newly release Terminator: Dark Fate actually seems to be getting a decent-ish reception though, so Reef and Teyon’s upcoming Terminator: Resistance first-person shooter probably couldn’t have been better timed.
We love it when we see the potential for one of those so bad it's great games. Terminator: Resistance could be exactly that. Or it could be awful. Or actually great. I mean, who even knows anymore. What's important though is this a brand new Unreal Engine 4 powered first-person shooter based on The Terminator and T2: Judgment Day, and it maybe it can go some way to redressing the balance of those awful new movies. The Terminator franchise and bad videogame adaptations go together like cheese and fine wine, they’re bloody inseparable. Next up to try and have a go at not making a complete mess of what should be a mightily straightforward franchise to translate to games is publisher Reef Entertainment, which has just announced Terminator: Resistance.
