When Remedy Entertainment released their latest title Control on the Epic Games Store, it understandably received a bit of backlash for being exclusive to the store. However, that is now changing as Remedy and 505 Games have just announced that Control will be getting an Ultimate Edition that includes all the game’s DLC, and will be officially launching on the Steam storefront on August 27th.

The Ultimate Edition of Control includes the base game, both official expansions The Foundation and AWE, the Expeditions end game mode, Photo Mode, and all content updates released since the launch of the original base game. You can check out the official trailer below:

The Ultimate Edition will be the only version coming to Steam unfortunately, but lucky for us it will be releasing at a reduced price of $39.99, or £34.99 or €39.99 depending on your region. And funnily enough, in some kind of twisted fate, The Control Ultimate Edition is actually coming out on Steam before The Epic Games Store, which will launch simultaneously for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 10th.

Control UE will also be coming to next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, with a free next-gen upgrade for those who purchase the Ultimate Edition on current-gen consoles.

What do you think? Are you excited for Control’s Steam release? Will you be getting it on Steam? Let us know!
