Far Cry 3 released last week to incredible reception but, like Hitman Absolution, both failed to get to number one in the gamers charts.
None of those 'new' games managed to dispose Black Ops 2 from the gaming sales throne. This shows the game's drawing power which, at the moment, seems unparalleled...

2. Far Cry 3 (Ubisoft)
3. FIFA 13 (Electronic Arts)
4. Hitman Absolution (Square Enix)
5. Assassin's Creed 3 (Ubisoft)
6. Just Dance 4 (Ubisoft)
7. LEGO Lord of the Rings (Warner Bros.)
8. Halo 4 (Microsoft)
9. Skylanders Giants (Activision/Square Enix)
10. Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2 (Electronic Arts)
Call of Duty is a brand who popularity in the gaming world is, safe to say, unparalleled. But to stay atop the table when AAA games like Hitman Absolution and Far Cry 3 release a week after it, is something! Black Ops 2 might not be holding as strongly as did Modern Warfare 3 but Activision wouldn't be too worried about that at the moment.
Selling like hot-cakes, Black Ops 2 in first again for the third consecutive week.
Far Cry 3, a game that has lived up to it's massive expectations, still couldn't dethrone BO2 for the top spot, as was expected, and landed on second spot. Far Cry 3 earned a GD Review score of 9 so don't be surprised if tops BO2 next week. If.
Hitman Absolution dropped to fourth place in it's second. It needs to be seen if it can hold the position in the coming weeks.
FIFA 13 is still red-hot. More than half of the game's income is devoured from U.K. and it's no surprise FIFA 13 is still on top tier, landing on third - after nearly 8 weeks! Part of it's resurgence is due to it's debut on the new Wii U but that's that.
Assassin's Creed 3 is still strong and rounds off the top five.
