Phew, we made it. It's time for the knockout stages. The rules are a little different now. Each of the games will go head-to-head and the loser will have to pack their bags and go home. The winner will book a slot in the quarter finals. Today we have the might Red Dead Redemption 2 vs The Last of Us Part II, as well as Shadow of the Tomb Raider vs Darksiders 3. All you need to do is vote your most anticipated and you could win the grand prize.

The winner of our competition can choose one of three prizes: a PS4 Pro, $300 Steam credit, or a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB. It's a competition for the GD community only, so the prize will only go to a GD member. This is football Game-Debate style!

Match Day 15 Results

Starfield [ 2 - 2 ] Gears 5

Doom Eternal [ 3 - 1 ] Nioh 2

Death Stranding [ 2 - 2 ] Rage 2

Total War: Three Kingdoms [ 0 - 4 ] Cyberpunk 2077

Predictably, Cyberpunk 2077 walked out as a comfortable winner of Group H, while Death Stranding had to rely on head-to-head results to squeak past Rage 2. Meanwhile in Group G, Doom Eternal continued its imperious form as it brushed aside Nioh 2 to pick up the maximum nine points. Starfield makes it in as the last of the final 16. Lovely stuff.

Round of 16 Knockouts:

Four all-star games are polishing their boots today and it's certainly going to be difficult to pick a winner from each of these fixtures. In the first match we have the battle of the console giants with Red Dead 2 taking on The Last of Us 2. Red Dead 2 sounds as if it's eventually going to come to PC though, so could that have an effect on the votes?

As for the other fixture, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is undoubtedly a bigger game than Darksiders 3. However, Darksiders 3 has proven itself to be a little bit of a dark horse so far, and with some stern defending it could lump into the box and hope for the best.
