Last week we informed you that a Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 demo was inbound on August 30th. Since then, Konami has updated the official PES 18 site with the addendum "the demo for PC will be released on mid-September." Xbox One and PS4 users got their demo on August 30th.

The updated time means we'll be getting the PC Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 demo either at launch or shortly after. The natural assumption is that Konami is perhaps holding fire on a PC demo to delay any potential game cracks. This could be a big frustration for those looking to pre-order PES 2018, with no way to tell ahead of launch just how the move to an updated Fox Engine has gone.

Worryingly though, over on the PES 2018 Steam page, there's still no indicator of a release date. We're just over a week away from its supposed September 12th launch on PC, yet we're sat here with neither a Steam launch nor a demo.

Original Story: 29-Aug-2017 - Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 Demo Is Playable 30th August

The battle of the two annual soccer games is here again. Pro Evo Soccer 2018 or FIFA 18. The new football season is up and running and along with it, even dafter transfer fees. Pro Evo Soccer 2018's demo is released and playable from August 30th.

The exciting bit of news this year is that the Pro Evo 2018 demo we likely show us PC gamers how much extra grunt and beauty the newly revamped Pro Evo game engine will require and deliver. The PES 2018 system requirements have been increased at last. Here is the news article covering this shift.

An upgrade has been much needed for the PC version of the Pro Evolution Soccer series for may years and will hopefully help even any gap between Fifa and PES when it comes to choosing which of the two series you are likely to opt for. I was originally a PES fan for years, but eventually was won over by FIFAs official licensing and visual upgrades. But have always been very pleased that PES is still around and in the running.

The Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 demo is available for download on the 30th August 2017 and will feature a new multiplayer CO-OP (offline) game and play the classic Exhibition Match type. The clubs, teams and stadiums included in the demo are

  • Borussia Dortmund
  • Liverpool FC
  • CR Flamengo
  • Club Atlético River Plate
  • Argentina

  • Camp Nou
  • Signal Iduna Park

The full version of PES 2018 will release on 14th September 2017, ahead of rival FIFA 18, giving it a head start.
