An i5 3570k and a Corsair carbide 500r will do well with this? Also the GPU is a GTX 760 and the RAM are G Skill Ripjaws 8GB 1600mhz.

It will be fine, but since you're going to use Ivy - you HAVE to update BIOS first, since default (from-the-box) one doesn't support Ivy (only Sandy).

I was thinking about this motherboard for my i7 3770k and GTX 690 housed in a Cooler Master Cosmos II until realizing it's a work station mobo (WS.. duhhh) and now I'm having doubts, could someone recommend the best LGA 1155 motherboard that will be able to take on all the features of my case?

This motherboard doubles perfectly fine as a "gaming" motherboard. It's obviously NOT the "best gaming motherboard", but very solid nonetheless. After all, it was aimed at work and everyday tasks firsthand, "gaming" being only a bonus.
