Asus has once again proved themselves with this sturdy, high quality motherboard. Being part of the TUF series, it gets all the nifty features as well. As this was my first board used in a build I found it comforting to have the reinforced back for my own peace of mind during handling. Definitely worth the money spent for this board.

Seems you and I had similar build ideas, and like you this is my first complete build also. All the PC's I have had up till now were ones I bought from other people or cobbled together from various parts. I don't know about you but the first time I ever saw a Sabertooth I knew that was going to be where I started. Just my luck, when I was ready to build the Z87 comes out along with the new Haswell processors. I'm not quite finished, but the basics are done. I was even going to get a GTX 760, but the 660 I have came on sale, it was delivered to my doorstep for less than 200$ so I couldn't say no. Within a month or so I'll be adding a 2nd 660, and another 8gb of RAM, and then I can destroy any game they can make for a few years.

I am planning on having an SLI later connection as well. While I was browsing Newegg, I noticed that the Z87 sabertooth and 16gb of RAM could be purchased in a combo for a savings of 100, fantastic deal. I also found a good deal on the processor at microcenter for 280, look your hardest for those deals because they're out there :D
