Half-Life 3

Radeon RX 5900

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 5900 Performance Review

The experience of playing Half-Life 3 through a 1 year old Radeon RX 5900 is going to deliver a solid 89 FPS. Those frames are achieved on Half-Life 3 when being played at 1920x1080 screen resolution and on High graphics.

Radeon RX 5900 can run at 48 FPS at 1440p on Ultra graphics settings, but increasing resolution to 4K for better visuals can be achieved on Medium graphics setting, returning 60FPS. Using the GPU release price we can see the cost per frame rate on 1440p Ultra costs $0 compared to the Medium graphics setting at 4K costs $0 per FPS.

In summary, the best resolution performance for this Radeon RX 5900 looks to be 1440p. There is definitely a great 1080p Ultra result if that is more your requirement, with it pulling 64 FPS, but you certainly can move up to 1440p where we see it returning 128 FPS on Low 1440p, 101 FPS at Medium 1440p, 68 FPS on High settings and finally Ultra gets 48 FPS.
