Batman: Arkham Asylum packshot image
The game begins with Batman capturing the Joker after his latest plot, escorting him to Arkham Asylum for imprisonment. Due to Joker's recent attack on Gotham's prison, a large number of sane convicts have been transferred to Arkham. Joker, however has set a trap inside the asylum, using the its own impenetrable defenses against him. Batman must now not only try to escape from the hazards of Arkham, but also recapture the Joker and reveal his true intentions.
Gameplay places just as much focus on Batman's role as a detective as his combat prowess. Most of the game is played through an over-the-shoulder, third person perspective. It has been hinted that certain villains might be playable at some point in the game although this may be as an unlockable element after completing the game. Arkham was chosen as a location because of its limitations including the fact that it's located on an island. Arkham will be a persistent location that the player will be able to freely roam, including an area that serves as Batman's secret on-site Bat Cave.

Radeon RX Vega 8

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX Vega 8 Performance Review

Playing Batman: Arkham Asylum on the Radeon RX Vega 8, which is a 2 year old graphics card will likely get a very strong 200+ FPS. Which is at High settings on 1080p performance.

But then the Radeon RX Vega 8 will get a solid big screen performance at 4K, with 150 frames per second. So we expect you are likely to consider running the game in 4K or 1440p. If you are interested, this is a cost of $0 per FPS, assuming we take it based on the GPU’s launch price.

This graphics card, paired with at least 2GB system memory would be perfect to run this game at 4K Ultra.

To summarise, with this graphics card you do not need concern yourself too much regarding Batman: Arkham Asylum frame rates. Because Ultra graphics setting can be turned on across all resolutions up to 4K quite comfortably. We are seeing 4K getting 150 FPS, 1440p will get 200+ frame rate and if you are interested then 1080p gaming can get 200+ FPS. Based around the Radeon RX Vega 8 launch price, we calculate the cost per frame at different resolutions. 1080p Ultra frames will cost $0, 1440p frames cost $0 each and then the 4K costs $0 per frame.
