Batman: Arkham Asylum packshot image
The game begins with Batman capturing the Joker after his latest plot, escorting him to Arkham Asylum for imprisonment. Due to Joker's recent attack on Gotham's prison, a large number of sane convicts have been transferred to Arkham. Joker, however has set a trap inside the asylum, using the its own impenetrable defenses against him. Batman must now not only try to escape from the hazards of Arkham, but also recapture the Joker and reveal his true intentions.
Gameplay places just as much focus on Batman's role as a detective as his combat prowess. Most of the game is played through an over-the-shoulder, third person perspective. It has been hinted that certain villains might be playable at some point in the game although this may be as an unlockable element after completing the game. Arkham was chosen as a location because of its limitations including the fact that it's located on an island. Arkham will be a persistent location that the player will be able to freely roam, including an area that serves as Batman's secret on-site Bat Cave.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Radeon RX 460 2GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 460 2GB Performance Review

We can see that when playing Batman: Arkham Asylum with a Radeon RX 460 2GB will return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. That result is taken on High graphics and a screen resolution of 1080p.

This GPU and game match up means this graphics hardware can comfortably play Batman: Arkham Asylum at 4K. We expect to see around the 200+ FPS mark on Ultra 4K.

Finding a PC with this gpu or better would return some strong FPS in Batman: Arkham Asylum. We would definitely recommend running at 4K screen res and on ultra, before trying any lower screen resolution. You would also need at least 2GB of RAM. Perhaps couple this gaming PC with a processor that's as powerful as the Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz and Ultra 4K would be a smooth experience.

In summary, Ultra graphics setting is highly achievable with this Radeon RX 460 2GB card, but what monitor resolution are you looking to play Batman: Arkham Asylum at, because you can get 200+ FPS at Ultra 4K. But perhaps you feel better served at 1440p, where you would get 200+ frames per second on Ultra 1440p. Lower the resolution further and you get a blistering 200+ FPS at 1080p Ultra.
