Batman: Arkham Asylum packshot image
The game begins with Batman capturing the Joker after his latest plot, escorting him to Arkham Asylum for imprisonment. Due to Joker's recent attack on Gotham's prison, a large number of sane convicts have been transferred to Arkham. Joker, however has set a trap inside the asylum, using the its own impenetrable defenses against him. Batman must now not only try to escape from the hazards of Arkham, but also recapture the Joker and reveal his true intentions.
Gameplay places just as much focus on Batman's role as a detective as his combat prowess. Most of the game is played through an over-the-shoulder, third person perspective. It has been hinted that certain villains might be playable at some point in the game although this may be as an unlockable element after completing the game. Arkham was chosen as a location because of its limitations including the fact that it's located on an island. Arkham will be a persistent location that the player will be able to freely roam, including an area that serves as Batman's secret on-site Bat Cave.

Batman: Arkham Asylum

GeForce GTX 960 2GB

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GTX 960 2GB Performance Review

The experience of playing Batman: Arkham Asylum through a GeForce GTX 960 2GB is going to get a very strong 200+ FPS. And those results are assuming a 1920x1080 screen resolution at High setting level.

When looking at the recommended requirements for Batman: Arkham Asylum we can see that this GeForce GTX 960 2GB is far better served running it on Ultra even at 4K, where it would achieve 200+FPS. But it could cost around $0.80 per FPS at 4K. Compare this to Ultra 1440p, which is a more reasonable $0.48 per FPS.

The GeForce GTX 960 2GB along with the right system memory, 2GB, is very capable of getting top FPS results even at 4K Ultra graphics settings. We would recommend 4K as the way to go here. Especially if you have a Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz processor or better.

In summary, if you are looking to play Batman: Arkham Asylum in Ultra then you have come with the right graphics card. The GeForce GTX 960 2GB can chew through the graphical performance needs of the game with relative ease. 1080p Ultra will return 200+ frames, then the larger screen resolution of 1440p can deliver 200+ FPS, with the 4K resolution seeing 200+ FPS in Ultra as well.
