The Stranger VR

Radeon RX 5500 8GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 5500 8GB Performance Review

We can see that when playing The Stranger VR with a Radeon RX 5500 8GB will deliver a struggling 35 FPS. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.

In lieu of those results we would not recommend the Radeon RX 5500 8GB to run The Stranger VR on 1440p. Running it at 1440p Medium is certainly something that the Radeon RX 5500 8GB could do. Returning a playable 40 frames a second on the reasonably large resolution setting of 2560x1440. But by contrast Ultra 1080p will get 25 FPS on The Stranger VR.

In summary, considering our Low vs Ultra settings you should be looking to run The Stranger VR at 1080p screen resolution, in order to get an okay frame rate. Any greater resolution than 1080p might be less than optimal. Its frame rates at 1080p look like this on the various graphics settings, Low: 66 FPS, Medium: 52 FPS, High: 35 FPS, Ultra: 25 FPS.
