Booting up Beast with the 7 year old GeForce GTX 970 4GB looks like it will get a very strong 108 FPS. And those results are assuming a 1920x1080 screen resolution at High setting level.
When looking at the recommended requirements for Beast we can see that this GeForce GTX 970 4GB is far better served running it on Ultra even at 4K, where it would achieve 35FPS. But it could cost around $9.43 per FPS at 4K. Compare this to Ultra 1440p, which is a more reasonable $5.59 per FPS.
To summarise, this is an easy one, the GeForce GTX 970 4GB solution can play Beast at Ultra settings despite the desired screen resolution (up to 4K) you want to play it on. 4K Ultra gets 35 frame rate, whereby we see 59 frame rate for the 1440p Ultra and if you wish to look at 1080p gaming then 77 frames per second is the type of results. Using the graphics card launch price we calculate the cost per frame to look like this for the different resolutions - 1080p Ultra costs $4.29, 1440p costs $5.59 and 4K costs $9.43.
