XCOM 2 - Alien Hunters

GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q 90W

Low Vs Ultra GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q 90W Performance Review

Booting up XCOM 2 - Alien Hunters with the 3 year old GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q 90W looks like it will return a consistently high 142 frame rate. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.

And so following those results you could of course play this at 1080p, but this GPU is somewhat wasted at that resolution. We would suggest running XCOM 2 - Alien Hunters at 4K Ultra instead, where the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q 90W would still get 46 FPS at these performance hungry settings and resolution. When considering the GPUs release price, this comes in at $0 per Ultra 4K FPS or $0 at 1440p Ultra.

To summarise, this is an easy one, the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q 90W solution can play XCOM 2 - Alien Hunters at Ultra settings despite the desired screen resolution (up to 4K) you want to play it on. 4K Ultra gets 46 frame rate, whereby we see 77 frame rate for the 1440p Ultra and if you wish to look at 1080p gaming then 102 frames per second is the type of results. Using the graphics card launch price we calculate the cost per frame to look like this for the different resolutions - 1080p Ultra costs $0, 1440p costs $0 and 4K costs $0.
