Max Payne 4

Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB Performance Review

Getting the Max Payne 4 running while using a Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB can see it could return a reliable 88 FPS. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.

The 48 FPS on 1440p ultra setting seems to be a very good choice for running this game with this GPU. But it can also be pushed up to 4K, should you wish, where it can get 40FPS on High 4K or drop it to Medium 4K to get 60 FPS. For the 4K High setting it would cost $0 per FPS, or drop to $0 for each frame on Medium 4K.

In summary, 1440p resolution shows itself to be the optimum performance vs visuals for the Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB. While it can certainly get a strong 1080p Ultra of 63 FPS, if you want to move up to 1440p on Max Payne 4 then we can see 1440p Low setting getting 127 FPS or the Medium returning 100 FPS. Change graphics settings up to High for 67 FPS and then Ultra gets 48 FPS.
