The starting races will include the High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen and a fourth race that we believe to be Skaven. Total War: Warhammer 2

GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q

Low Vs Ultra GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q Performance Review

The experience of playing Total War: Warhammer 2 through a 3 year old GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q is going to return a consistently high 133 frame rate. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.

And so following those results you could of course play this at 1080p, but this GPU is somewhat wasted at that resolution. We would suggest running Total War: Warhammer 2 at 4K Ultra instead, where the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q would still get 36 FPS at these performance hungry settings and resolution. When considering the GPUs release price, this comes in at $0 per Ultra 4K FPS or $0 at 1440p Ultra.

In summary, the best resolution performance for this GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q looks to be 1440p. There is definitely a great 1080p Ultra result if that is more your requirement, with it pulling 95 FPS, but you certainly can move up to 1440p where we see it returning 141 FPS on Low 1440p, 111 FPS at Medium 1440p, 75 FPS on High settings and finally Ultra gets 53 FPS.
