Dark Souls 3

Radeon RX 570 8GB

Low Vs Ultra Radeon RX 570 8GB Performance Review

Booting up Dark Souls 3 with the 3 year old Radeon RX 570 8GB looks like it will deliver a solid 74 FPS. Note that those results would be running at High and 1920x1080 screen res.

The Radeon RX 570 8GB is going to do great at 1440p. We can see that in Ultra 1440p we will avg around 40 FPS. At High setting it gets 56FPS, but it is also capable of bumping up to 4K in High settings. 4K High will return 33 FPS or 4K Medium gets 50 FPS. Converting this into a cost per FPS we are looking at $5.45 on High settings and $3.60 at Medium.

In summary, we feel that the Radeon RX 570 8GB looks and performs great on 1440p resolution. So if you want a 1440p Dark Souls 3 experience it will generate 106 FPS on Low 1440p graphics setting, 83 FPS when on Medium 1440p, 56 FPS when played at High settings and down to 40 FPS when turned up to Ultra on 1440p. You might still be looking for 1080p though to get some higher smoother FPS, where you could get 53 FPS at Ultra 1080p resolution. So something to think about.
