The Darkness 2 packshot image
The Darkness II breaks out of the sea of conventional first-person shooters with its fervid Quad-Wielding gameplay, which will allow players to slash, grab, and throw objects and enemies with their Demon Arms while simultaneously firing two weapons. The game is layered with the use of dark versus light, steeped in deep and twisted storytelling, and engulfed in stylistic violence that is visualized through a hand-painted graphic noir technique that stays true to its comic book origins.
It’s been two years since Jackie Estacado, now the Don of the Franchetti crime family, used The Darkness to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend’s murder. He’s been unable to shake the memory of Jenny’s death since bottling up his supernatural power, and now The Darkness wants out. A sudden, unprovoked attack on Jackie’s life heralds the start of a full-scale mob war, which has clearly been orchestrated by some outside force. The botched attempt opens the door for The Darkness to reemerge, and sets Jackie on a journey to hell and worse, as he unravels the mystery behind the attack and the motivations of The Darkness itself.

The Darkness 2

GeForce GTX 2050 Ti 4GB

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GTX 2050 Ti 4GB Performance Review

Running a GeForce GTX 2050 Ti 4GB to play The Darkness 2 shows us that we expect it to return a consistently high 200+ frame rate. Which is at High settings on 1080p performance.

Playing The Darkness 2 on Ultra 4k is certainly possible with this graphics card and we expect it will return around 117 frames per second at that top scale resolution.

Finding a PC with this gpu or better would return some strong FPS in The Darkness 2. We would definitely recommend running at 4K screen res and on ultra, before trying any lower screen resolution. You would also need at least 2GB of RAM.

To summarise, this game runs easily using this graphics card at all resolutions. The Darkness 2 gets 117 FPS at 4K Ultra costing $0 per frame. But if that doesnt feel right for you then you can drop the graphics setting down to High for 164 FPS costing $0 per frame. Otherwise you can get some great performance by moving down a resolution bracket to 1440p. 196 FPS in Ultra 1440p costing $0 per frame or 1440p High gets 200+ FPS costing $0 per frame.
