Saints Row 3 packshot image
Saints Row 3, also known as Saints Row The Third, is a third-person shooter video game being developed by Volition, Inc. and to be published by THQ for the Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable systems. It is the third title in the Saints Row series, after the release of Saints Row 2 in 2008. It is currently set to be released during Q3/Q4 2011. The game was set to debut at E3 2010 but did not appear to allow developer Volition to rebuild parts of the game. Spike's Video Game Awards in December 2010 were set to include a first look at the game, but developer Volition instead showed their new game, a collaboration with Guillermo Del Toro, inSANE.

Saints Row 3

GeForce GTX 960 Ti 2GB

Low Vs Ultra GeForce GTX 960 Ti 2GB Performance Review

Playing Saints Row 3 on the GeForce GTX 960 Ti 2GB, which is a 6 year old graphics card will likely get a very strong 200+ FPS. And those results are assuming a 1920x1080 screen resolution at High setting level.

When looking at the recommended requirements for Saints Row 3 we can see that this GeForce GTX 960 Ti 2GB is far better served running it on Ultra even at 4K, where it would achieve 91FPS. But it could cost around $3.29 per FPS at 4K. Compare this to Ultra 1440p, which is a more reasonable $1.95 per FPS.

The GeForce GTX 960 Ti 2GB along with the right system memory, 4GB, is very capable of getting top FPS results even at 4K Ultra graphics settings. We would recommend 4K as the way to go here. Especially if you have a Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz processor or better.

To summarise, with this graphics card you do not need concern yourself too much regarding Saints Row 3 frame rates. Because Ultra graphics setting can be turned on across all resolutions up to 4K quite comfortably. We are seeing 4K getting 91 FPS, 1440p will get 153 frame rate and if you are interested then 1080p gaming can get 200 FPS. Based around the GeForce GTX 960 Ti 2GB launch price, we calculate the cost per frame at different resolutions. 1080p Ultra frames will cost $1.50, 1440p frames cost $1.95 each and then the 4K costs $3.29 per frame.
