the fx 6300 offers unbeatable price/performance, competing with the 3570k, even though the 3570k is around double the price.

guys i'm really confused would i buy this cpu and a used mobo asrock extreme4 and used gpu asus 680 dc2t for about 760$$ or get 8350 cpu with asus formula z and used gtx 680 galaxy soc edition for about 930$$ the main confuse is the cpu i know 3570 performance in games is better than 8350 but the 2 one is better in overall specially the next gen games but it's mobo supports pci-2 only would this decrease my gpu performance? thank you.

1- Most graphics cards don't know how to use pcie 3 yet, it offers little performance boosts
2-go for whichever solution is cheaper, plus I find the crosshair V-formula-z a waste of money, the sabertooth 990fx is cheaper, and performs the same. anyways so the 3570k solution is cheaper, and the z77 extreme4 is an amazing motherboard, go for that combo

good PC, although I don't like the gx 650, not very reliable, I'd go with a quality bronze seasonic PSU, either the corsair tx650, the XFX 650w, or an Antec HCG 620w. V6 GT is a good CPU cooler, and the other specs are good.

I'd get the PSU's I recommended, I don't like haswell, I'd stay away from those CPU, just go for z77 extreme4, sell the GX 650, and get a better PSU, and a gtx 680

case cooling seems fine, the best mobo out of those is the z77x-ud3h, although the z77x-d3h is a great mobo, I'd go with the cheapest. As for ASUS vs gigabyte, I'd go with asus, cool and quiet, the gigabyte, cool and LOUD.

I'd go with the galaxy, the asus is a very heavy graphics card, you'll need a VGA retention bracket, it puts a lot of weight onto the mobo. the Galaxy (IMO) is more sexy, and it has a hefty overclock, I'd go with galaxy.

also a warning, the SOC version needs 2x8pin PCIE connectors on your PSU, the gtx 680 ASUS needs 1 6pin and one 8pin connector, what PSU are you going to get? if you're sticking with the GX 650, it has 2x 6+2 PCIE connectors, so it can power your GTX 680 graphics cards.

that seasonic PSU is good, also you can get PSU's that are made by seasonic. Corsair TX series are mdae by seasonic, all the XFX psu are made by seasonic, anyways that seasonic PSU is a quality power supply. Also have you heard of an SSHD? you should look into it, if it's available in Egypt

I don't think ivy bridge will reduce in price, sandy bridge didn't, and you might wait so long, that the 3570k is just cancelled, you don't want that. 60gb SSD for a boot drive is good, maybe you could try to push it to 120gb if you can, but it's not necessary. I wouldn't get a green HDD, they heat too much, you should get a black or blue (I assume a western digital WD hard drive). Sorry for the late reply.

Well, your cpu (Core i3-2120) can run pretty much any game you throw at it at high-maxed out (save for the most demanding ones). But your gpu is REALLY out dated, even an upgrade to a 650 ti boost or 7790 or something like that would do you good. So yeah definitely get a new gpu.
Oh and your H67 motherboard has really limited overclocking capabilities so I don't think you would benefit from an unlocked K cpu.
So, yeah. Your gpu is in dire need of an upgrade if looking to play the latest games with high settings, your cpu is fine.

thanks for the answer, I will look at upgrading my cpu to this though, I figure I would get the graphics card and then the processor, I would look at getting a z77 mobo in the future, so for the time being this i5 processor on my mobo should be fine, and then I could overclock in the future. still not totally sure which to get first though, I play mostly mmorpg and I believe the better processor would really help me keep a constant fps right?

Definitely get the gpu first. Your cpu is fine for the time being (actually not a bad cpu at all), but your gpu is a huge bottleneck. No matter what you do with the cpu definitely get the gpu first. You'll see a huge performance boost, you'll be playing the likes of Battlefield 3, Far Cry 3, new Tomb Raider and all that high-maxed, and mmo's, even with your cpu. Especially if you get the gtx 760 you want.

Yes, Core i3-3220 is socket LGA 1155, so you can upgrade without a new motherboard. Just the new haswell cpu's and the generation after that will use LGA 1150. The generation after that will use a new socket.

No problem. If you're going to upgrade your components, make sure that your motherboard supports or has the same slot/socket for the hardware that you're trying to install. Hope that helps. :)

i know this probably the wrong place to ask this but youre all helpful here, so recently i got a pc case and the fans that came with it have a wire with 2 connectors on the end, one appears to be male molex and the other female molex. My case has 2 fans, both the same, why is there 2 connectors? thx
