Core i5-3360M 2.8GHz is a middle-class mobile processor based on the 22nm, Ivy Bridge architecture.


It offers 2 Physical Cores (4 Logical), initially clocked at 2.8GHz, which may go up to 3.5GHz and 3MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Boost and Virtualization are activated and the processor has multiplier unlocked.


The processor integrates mildly powerful Graphics called Intel HD Graphics 4000, with 16 Execution Units, initially clocked at 650MHz and that go up to 1200MHz, in Turbo Mode which share the L2 Cache and system RAM with the processor.
Both the processor and integrated graphics have a rated board TDP of 35W.

I still don't understand what "thread" really is. I know OS recognizes as a core, games use it as a core;
but still 2threads from single core must be slower for a single process than single core with unused thread…

Well your CPU doesn't have Turbo and the i5 has 4 physical cores which is always better then HT ;) The i5 also has double the amount of cache.
