Core i3-2120 3.3GHz is a middle-class CPU based on the 32nm, Sandy Bridge architecture.


It offers 2 Physical Cores (4 Logical), clocked at 3.3GHz and 3MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, Turbo Boost and HyperThreading are activated.


The processor integrates weak Graphics called Intel HD Graphics 2000, with 6 Execution Units, initially clocked at 850MHz and that go up to 1100MHz, in Turbo Mode which share the L2 Cache and system RAM with the processor.
Both the processor and integrated graphics have a rated board TDP of 65W.

I know this comment has been up for a while, but if you are playing games that are more cpu bound, then no, the 1050ti will not help all that much. If you are playing games like overwatch then yes! be sure you psu is 300w-350w.Hope it helps

Without getting a new motherboard you could upgrade to the 2nd gen i5/i7s (or third gen if your motherboard supports that too) if you want to not have to upgrade your cpu again for a while id get an i7 but if you can't afford a new gpu/maybe psu an i7 would be a little overkill.

I have one, isn't very good for newer games. It was, but now its a Basic processor for gaming and i strongly recomend taking a i5 2500+ or FX 6300+ if you want play newer games

Thanks for the response i will get more ram also would them graphics card need a power supply as my psu doesn't have the connecter so would i be better upgrading that first. Am looking to run fishing planet, carp fishing sim, rust, dayz.

I wouldn't waste your money on a GTX 970 if you're gonna pair it with this CPU. I have a GTX 650 with this CPU and my GPU still gets slightly bottlenecked by this CPU.
