Core i7-2600K 4-Core 3.40GHz is a high-end CPU based on the 32nm, Sandy Bridge architecture.


It offers 4 Physical Cores (8 Logical), initially clocked at 3.4GHz, which may go up to 3.8GHz and 8MB of L3 Cache.
Among its many features, HyperThreading, Turbo Boost and Virtualization are activated and the processor has unlocked multiplier.


TThe processor integrates average Graphics called Intel HD i7 2600K (variant of Intel HD Graphics 3000), with 12 Execution Units, initially clocked at 850MHz and that go up to 1350MHz, in Turbo Mode which share the L2 Cache and system RAM with the processor.
Both the processor and integrated graphics have a rated board TDP of 95W.


Compared to Core i7-2700K there's a 3% performance decrease. Its performance is exceptionally good and enough for even the most demanding applications.

this cpu with my gpu RX 560 pulse 4GB works very well xD Gta V in high 50 fps and is 26% working my cpu isn´t ovelclocked because my motherboard is 6 year old

The 4690k would certainly have advantages in just pure gaming because of the better support and newer architecture, but when multitasking, the 2600k would probably be better if the task uses the hyperthreading

i love this cpu! overclockable :) but very power hungry and toasty cpu! works like toaster with stock cooler, retyped two times thermal paste still , bad temperatures, after two week ill take water cooler for this baby

itsa a pretty strong cpu so you wouldnt have noticable bottlenecks, with any card sometimes a 290 wally below 250 else a 280x, its still a good card sometimes far better than 960

your current cpu is pretty powerful :) you could overclock it but a bit because it isn't unlocked cpu , in your place i would't upgrade i5 is still very good cpu to play modern games :) ofcource if you can find i7 2600k or 2700k for cheap price ofcource it would be worth , because comparing to newest i7 4790k , this cpu just 5-10% slower in rendering and encoding video's but for gaming it's great :)

that 280x seems very power hungry mn psu is 750?? idk bout that but was looking at the 380x didn't seem as power hungry but that 960 seems to hit a sweet spot as not power hungry and good output as far as graphics
