It depends on the price whether it's worth it or not, but you'd certainly get a performance boost.

Lol same here with Pentium G3258. Actually when I was about to build a PC i was nearly gonna go with a Core 2 Quad and an Nvidia setup but chose the G3258 because it is newer so it wouldnt bottleneck. So i built an intel-radeon rig. :p

The FX 4100 does not "Destroy" the C2Q 9400, the 14% or w/e is correct. Now the 6100, 8150/8300's may destroy it but not a 4100…

CS: 3,1 GHz                                          2,66 GHz --> i3 wins….

512kB L2 cache                          6MB L2 cache --> looking per core: the i3 slightly wins…

GD says that the i3-2100 is 2% better than the Q9400, I think following:

i3:                                              C2Q:

Sandy Bridge (processor core)      Yorkfield --> Sandy Bridge is a much better processor core, much more efficient and is based on 32nm technology, so it will keep its performance better when "stressed". Talking about the "K" models, you will be able to do great overclocks :)
