it's crazy expensive, 3570k is the best bet, then you have loads of money to spare for the graphics card.

This is a QUAD Core CPU.. not DUAL core..

There is actually something misleading even for computer techs.. This one original name is QX9770 and not just X9770.. Why ?

The Extreme Series is mainly made to make overclocking easier by just increasing the multipliers - We all know that nothing new - But what is new and very misleading is, there are Quad Extreme and Duo Extreme. Since Quad and Duo are not mentioned in the Processor name. A core 2 Extreme CPU with 2(Duo) cores is called XNNNN and one with 4(Quad) cores is called QXNNNN. That applies for both Desktop and Mobile series of Core 2 Extreme.

i guess you didnt saw the passmark page i put in down there, is shows that this proccesor has the power of a 6 core amd CPU(Phenom II x6 1045T) and a good 4 core intel CPU(i5 2400s) so i guess the title of a 8 star is correct

well because it out performs it(and way out price it). it has almost double the memory chache, and it uses the HT so it has 2 logical and 2 physical cores so its like a quad core cpu, and this proccesor actually performs as strong as a i5 2400s/Phenom II x6 1035T

Why would a core 2 extreme out rank a core 2 quad when the difference it .2GHz+ for the extreme and 2 more cores for the quad?
