Celeron G1610 2.6GHz is a budget CPU based on the 22nm Ivy Bridge micro-architecture with many of its features disabled, including Turbo Boost and Hyper Threading.
It offers 2 Cores, clocked at 2.6GHz and integrated graphics clocked at 650MHz (1.05GHz in Turbo Mode) and the memory controller supports DDR3-1333. It's expected to consume up to 55 Watt and offers 2MB of L3 Cache.
Its gaming performance is relatively average and on level with previous Sandy Bridge based dual-core CPUs (Core i3).

Is this processor better than my one?
I fuond this Umart.com.au for $47 ausd, is that good?
will this cpu bottleneck a gts 250? thanks in advance :)
No,This won't bottleneck even HD7790.(maybe slightly, but you get the point)
this cpu is the best performance per dollar you can get from a desktop cpu
will this bottleneck an HD 6670?
No, it's good match :)
what about HD 7750?
a little bottleneck. depends on the game though. :)
Same thing :)
thank you guys…
last question:What GPU is the perfect match for this one?
I would pair this with a hd 7750 or a 7770. depends on what resolution you plan to use. :)
if you plan to use it on a small res like 720p or so, then go for a 7750
if you plan to game on 1080p or more, then get a 7770.
since cpu performance isnt affected by resoulution but gpu performance is :)
R7750
Will this bottleneck a gtx 650?
Probably on CPU bound games and low resolutions, a slight bottleneck.
Will an fx 4100 be a better choice?
Yeah that would decrease the bottlenecking gap. Bear in mind it's more expensive as well
Ya this celeron is $33 and the fx 4100 is $70 and I'm on a pretty tight budget.
So, you have a motherboard already picked out? Remember those CPUs use a different socket
Both motherboard are $55. I mostly play cs go dragon nest and battlefield 3. If the g1610 can get 30 to 50 fps on battlefield 3 on auto settings I will be fine with that
If you play Battlefield 3 I'd go with the 4100. Your current Phenom would probably still be better than this Celeron when it comes to games that multi-core
+1
Bought this CPU, it gets very high on benchmark. Paid like 60$ for it here in Croatia. Cheapest dual core out there but not weakest.
yeah ivy bridge is a great micro architecture no doubt about that :D
Yeeey,im from Croatia too and i have the same CPU as you LOL
Will this bottleneck a hd 6870?
yes
