anybody know what a W3580 would be like compared to this one or my cpu?
Can someone change the info for this processor as it has HyperThreading (8 threads)
It also has a turbo of 2.93 GHz
why do people say this cpu is expensive i got the chip for 9 bucks on ebay
I know people are saying get a i5 or i7 for gaming but why when they cost so much more, This processor can run all games that are out with no problem, i can get a computer with this for £75/$115
Thats true bro.
am plan on buying it i believe its worth to me
For gaming an i5 or i7 CPU would be a better buy ;)
Is this upgrade worth?
Yes, worth alot.
Xeon processorers are made for server computers. If you want a computer for gaming you're far better of with an i5 CPU. Also the price on xeon CPUs are rather expensive, and you can get a i5/i7 with equal gaming performance for half the price ;)
but for that I have to change my casing+mobo+ram which will become much expensive than xeon..
Your current rig are (P)LGA771-socket with DDR2 RAM. Xeon W3520 uses LGA 1366-socket and DDR3 RAM. So you actually has to change both mobo+ram for an xeon upgrade as well. So either way you have to replace mobo+ram for both xeon and i5/i7 upgrade. And an Xeon CPU alone often costs more than an i5+mobo+ram with similar performance.
