GeForce GTX 690 is a dual-GPU graphics card solution of two GeForce GTX 680 (not SLI) and part of the 600 Series released by NVIDIA in 2012.
As usual and a hindrance of dual-GPU graphics cards, the clock frequencies had to be reduced. However, NVIDIA managed to almost double-cross this problem by developing Turbo Boost technology that sets the GPU's core clock from 915 to 1019MHz. The other specs, such as the number of cores, memory speed, and memory bandwidth per GPU are the same on both cards.
The Performance is mind-blowing and indicated for gamers that use demanding technologies, such as Tesselation, paired with extreme resolutions and on games already Very Demanding from the start, such as Metro 2033 and The Witcher 2. GeForce GTX 690 is less expensive and energy consuming than GTX 680 put in Dual SLI.

I bought it used 4 month ago for 120€ (138 USD / 106£) and it's still kicking ass but some games (like Nier Automata without FAR) use 2Go+ of VRAM and show that it's a bit old. But when the game is SLI friendly, it's awesome ; )
Should I get this or a gtx 1060?
Gtx 1060 :)
ty for help :)
I mean the 1060 is slightly better, but if cost is a factor I've seen 690s cheaper. Non reference factory overclocked versions of the 780 ti are better in performance for less money, bringing you closer to the mark on a tighter budget
Plus consider SLI as a factor, since getting a second card of a type you already have can be a cheap upgrade as the parts get old. The 1060 has no SLI, the 690 you can run 2 because its already a dual gpu card, but 4x 780s is on the table
thanks for ur opinion :)
i will recommend you gtx 980 4gb
which one would be better this for £160 a 780ti for £180 or a plane 780 for £150?
Best would be to buy a new card, even a gtx 970 would perform in a similar way but would last longer because it's newer but from those 3 I would definitely go with the 780ti.
Hey guys any bottelnecks
and would it work with a 1010 watt psu
No,there are no bottlenecks and yes it can easily work with your psu :)
still beast.
it is 4 years old card but still monster
does this card supports my cpu
Your CPU is fine but GPUs depend on what Power Supply and Bus Interface you have
yes it can support your pc but there will be a big bottleneck
try to buy core i5 6600 and gtx 980
gtx 980 is better than it and needs less power
197% better XD
Proud owner of this bad girl still kicking in 2016 !!
is a cx750w a good psu for this card?
Yup. :)
this gpu + 2 x5460 xeon cpu's and 16gb ram (my sys) with a 120gb samsung 840 evo in raid0 with a vertex450 128gb SSD.
good dx12 rig?
don't see why not should be good as long as this cards dx12 as the specs say I don't know how it is for being that old but it could be I seen crazier things
in SLI supporting games,it performs between a gtx970 and 980.
great card but i think it would be better to have a newer one for dx12 , yknow drivers and stuff
im switching to hd 7970's
id say wait until polaris and pascal to get great prices
100$ each on the 7970's. i'd say great price already.
