How well can the GeForce GTX 570M run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

This GeForce GTX 570M graphics card is considered budget with poor modern game performance when playing anything more demanding than indie game requirements. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 11 requirement.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 570M graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 570M in your PC? You should definitely consider replacing this GeForce GTX 570M graphics card, if it is still in your gaming PC.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 570M? Are you looking to upgrade a GeForce GTX 570M? Then we would suggest getting a 20 Series GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile, as it can run 982 of the top 1000 demanding game requirements today with 577% increased graphics performance. Alternatively if you want an upgrade suggestion for the GeForce GTX 570M then a good choice would be RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500M 8GB as this is better than 607 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 321% better performance as well.

GeForce GTX 570M Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
GeForce GTX 570M is a Performance Mobile Graphics Card based on the second revision of the Fermi Architecture.

Architecture
The Fermi Architecture was first manufactured with a 40nm technology and uses a technique known as Hot Clocking: The Shaders are clocked twice as fast as the Central Unit. While this leads to a reasonable performance boost, it causes enormous amounts of energy dissipation, leading, ultimately, to a significantly higher operating temperature.
Fermi is also the first GPU architecture with fully cached memory access which increases memory performance.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GF114 which has 7 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 336 Shader Processing Units, 56 TMUs and 24 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 575MHz.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1.5GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 192-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is adequate. The Memory Clock Operates at 750MHz.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for SLI, Optimus, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 75W, it is suited for large laptops.

Performance
Gaming benchmarks put its performance somewhat above a desktop GeForce GTX 550 Ti.

System Suggestions
We recommend a decent processor (Intel Core i5 Mobile) and 4GB of RAM for a system with GeForce GTX 570M.

Love it; same skyrim results as demonized. Only gripe is bad performance the rare times I need to be on battery alone.

☑ That might be due to your power plan and the NVIDIA panel settings. Make sure the Power Management for the NVIDIA panel is set to "Prefer maximum performance" instead of "adaptive".

Skyrim at ultra settings plus several high-res texture mods (up to 4096x4096) at 1920x1080, runs without any noticeable slowdowns on this GPU. Clock it up to 750MHz and it'll even run Battlefield 3 on ultra with 30+ FPS. But I'd still rather play it on my desktop. ;P
