A true powerhouse, the GeForce RTX 3080 will run even the most demanding game system requirements released today. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 12 requirement.

Here is a performance review on how capable the GeForce RTX 3080 is at running the more popular games of 2020. Specifically looking at this PC hardware’s ability to get suitable frames per second to play on Ultra game settings and what FPS it might get on 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen res. This card runs recommended graphics requirements of 997 games from the top 1000 most demanding games being played today.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the GeForce RTX 3080 performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Assassins Creed: Valhalla and predict it will deliver reasonable frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 103 FPS, Medium: 88 FPS, High: 76 FPS and Ultra: 52 FPS. We proceeded to look at Doom Eternal to see how that compared and saw that it returned a strong 99 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

Increasing resolution to 1440p is something a number of PC gamers are doing today. We tested the GeForce RTX 3080 at 1440p and researched how Assassins Creed: Valhalla might perform on it leading us to predict a playable set of FPS results. These were, Low: 79 FPS, Medium: 67 FPS, High: 58 FPS and Ultra: 39 FPS. We then checked out Doom Eternal which had a set of graphics results as followed, L: 199FPS, M: 157FPS, H: 106FPS, U: 76FPS. And another popular game was TrackMania Nations Remake that returned L: 1324FPS, M: 1043FPS, H: 702FPS, U: 501FPS at 1440p. In summary we feel the GeForce RTX 3080 running at 1440p is more than capable at running this screen resolution. 1440p Ultra across almost all modern games is going to be fairly standard with this GPU. We would consider moving this hardware up to 4K screen resolutions for PC gaming today.
