A true powerhouse, the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q will run even the most demanding game system requirements released today. DirectX 12 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Here is a performance review on how capable the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q is at running the more popular games of 2019. Specifically looking at this PC hardware’s ability to get suitable frames per second to play on Ultra game settings and what FPS it might get on 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen res. In terms of performance against the most demanding games today this graphics card can play 892 of the 1000 most demanding PC games beating their recommended requirements.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and saw it deliver reasonable frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 153 FPS, Medium: 121 FPS, High: 81 FPS and Ultra: 58 FPS. We proceeded to look at Microsoft Flight Simulator to see how that compared and predict that it will return a reasonable 48 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

As the PC gaming masses explore larger screen resolutions we decided to run some game checks at 1440p across a few popular games. We discovered the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q ran Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to a playable performance level. Results across the graphics settings looked like this, Low: 117 FPS, Medium: 92 FPS, High: 62 FPS and Ultra: 44 FPS. Another game researched was Microsoft Flight Simulator with predictions of L: 97FPS, M: 76FPS, H: 51FPS, U: 37FPS. And then we checked graphics card performance on Halo: Reach, which returned L: 363FPS, M: 286FPS, H: 193FPS, U: 138FPS at 1440p. In summary we feel the GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q running at 1440p is one of the more powerful graphics cards for this monitor resolution. Games will be running with stable frame rates at Ultra on a 1440p setup. 4K gaming for a number of modern games should also be considered with this graphics hardware.
