How well can the GeForce GT 530 run games
28 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Based on current gaming requirements the GeForce GT 530 is considered one of the weakest cards and wont meet modern AAA game specs. GeForce GT 530 is capable of DirectX 11 gaming requirements.

How many years will the GeForce GT 530 graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GT 530 in your PC? You should definitely consider replacing this GeForce GT 530 graphics card, if it is still in your gaming PC.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GT 530? If you are thinking of upgrading this graphics card then we would currently suggest the 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB. This PC hardware upgrade performs 1494% better and can run 896 of today’s 1000 most demanding PC games. Alternatively a suitable upgrade choice for the GeForce GT 530 is the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB, which is 1072% more powerful and can run 665 of the 1000 most demanding PC games beating their recommended requirements.

GeForce GT 530 Game Requirement Analysis

Overview
GeForce GT 530 is an OEM only, middle-class Graphics Card based on the first revision of the Fermi Architecture.

Architecture
The Fermi Architecture is manufactured with a 40nm technology and uses a technique known as Hot Clocking: The Shaders are clocked twice as fast as the Central Unit. While this leads to a reasonable performance boost, it causes enormous amounts of energy dissipation, leading, ultimately, to a significantly higher operating temperature.
Fermi is also the first GPU architecture with fully cached memory access which increases memory performance.

GPU
It equips a GPU Codenamed GF108-300-A1 which has 2 Stream Multiprocessors activated and thus offers 96 Shader Processing Units, 16 TMUs and 4 ROPs. The Central Unit is clocked at 700MHz.

Memory
The GPU accesses a 1GB frame buffer of DDR3, through a 128-bit memory interface. The size of the frame buffer is adequate. The Memory Clock Operates at 900MHz.

Features
DirectX 11.0 Support (11.0 Hardware Default) and support for 3D Vision Surround, PhysX, Realtime Raytracing and other technologies.

Cooling Solution
The Cooling Solution consists of a Single-Fan.

Power Consumption
With a rated board TDP of 49W, it requires at least a 300W PSU and it relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required.

Performance
Gaming benchmarks put its performance around of a Radeon HD 5570, meaning it is much faster than Radeon HD 5450.

System Suggestions
We recommend a modest processor (Intel Celeron) and 4GB of RAM for a system with GeForce GT 530.

I'll buy a computer with this GPU, do you guys think i could play BF3, Crysis 2, TDU 2, Lost Planet 2, Sleeping Dogs and GTA IV at least at medium settings with a cool medium resolution with smooth FPS?
The Full specs are in my profile

no not a chance of even low at your resolution ! this gpu really sucks for gaming ! sorry bud it will not do any good to you ! but if you reduce your resolution to 1280x1024 then you can play games at even high :D i used this gpu for 1 year and i know how it is :)

Thank's, i'm not a hardcore gamer, i don't care if the resolution is at 1024x700 (or something like that) or 1980x1080 i just want to play the game smoothly and with a reasonable quality.
but anyway, i think that the GPU is important but is not as important the processor right? My processor is a 2320 3.30 ( i didn't find my cpu when i updated my rig)
