We take a look at game performance achieved on this graphics card when running 2019 popular games. This short GeForce GTX 1050 Ti EVGA Gaming 4GB game hardware review looks at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. This card runs recommended graphics requirements of 346 games from the top 1000 most demanding games being played today.

Now onto the frame rates achieved at 1080p. We predict that Cyberpunk 2077 will get 1 FPS with the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti EVGA Gaming 4GB, Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order predicted to get 1 FPS and Borderlands 3 getting 24 frames per second. All run on Ultra at 1920x1080 screen res.

With PC gamers looking for larger screen sizes like 1440p we tested the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti EVGA Gaming 4GB by researching Cyberpunk 2077 leading us to predict a weak performance. Its FPS predictions for the graphics settings are as follows - L: 1FPS, M: 1FPS, H: 1FPS, U: 0FPS. Another popular game we researched with this card was Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order and that was weak. This graphics card is predicted to deliver 0 FPS at Ultra 1440p. Another popular title was Borderlands 3 which gets weak results with a 18FPS on Ultra 1440p. 1440p GeForce GTX 1050 Ti EVGA Gaming 4GB PC gaming is not a viable PC gaming choice.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti EVGA Gaming 4GB graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti EVGA Gaming 4GB in your PC? 12-18 months of top end gaming is still left in this graphics card

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti EVGA Gaming 4GB? A good upgrade choice for this graphics card today would be the 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6GB. For comparison of the 1000 most demanding games around today this suggested upgrade is 91% better and can meet 901 of their recommended requirements. Alternatively if you are thinking of upgrading this graphics card then we would currently suggest the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB. GeForce GTX 1050 Ti EVGA Gaming 4GB Game Requirement Analysis

Overview

The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming is EVGA's reference, small form factor version of Nvidia's lower end graphics card the GTX 1050 Ti. It is competing against AMDs more affordable gaming cards, like the newer RX 470. It features a non stock, single fan cooler.

Architecture

The Pascal Architecture aims for twice as much performance as the Maxwell Architecture and introduces support for second gen HBM.

GPU

It equips a GPU codenamed GP107-400 which has 6 SM activated and 768 Shader Processing Units, 48 TMUs and 32 ROPs. The central unit runs at 1291MHz and goes up to 1392MHz when the Boost Clock is triggered in game.

Memory

The GPU accesses a 4GB frame buffer of fast GDDR5, through a 128-bit memory interface, while the Memory Clock Operates at 3504MHz.

Power Consumption

With a rated board TDP of 75W, it relies entirely on the PCI Slot for power, meaning no extra connectors are required.

Performance

The GTX 1050 Ti Gaming will enable mid level graphics performance on modern AAA 2016 released games. Although there will be variations on this frame rate we expect this card to deliver around 55+ FPS on medium graphics settings at a 1080p screen resolution.
Comparatively, this card will be faster than the performance of the outgoing GTX 960

System Suggestions

GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming by EVGA is best suited for resolutions up to and including 1920x1080. We recommend a modern CPU like the i5-6500 and 8GB of RAM for minimal system bottleneck.
