28 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Based on current gaming requirements the GeForce G 110M is considered one of the weakest cards and wont meet modern AAA game specs. DirectX 10 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

How many years will the GeForce G 110M graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce G 110M in your PC? Its upgrade time for the GeForce G 110M, assuming you are a modern day gamer.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce G 110M? If you want an upgrade suggestion for the GeForce G 110M then a good choice would be 20 Series GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile as this is better than 982 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 6955% better performance as well. An alternative great upgrade graphics card would be a RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500M 8GB, which has 4293% better performance and can run 587 of the top 1000 demanding game requirements today.

GeForce G 110M Game Requirement Analysis

GeForce G 110M is an entry-class level GPU of the 100M Series released by NVIDIA, in 2009.
Since it only supports DirectX up to 10, games that use DirectX 11 are not supported and unplayable.
It uses the architecture 'G96b' and it's technically a GeForce 8400M GS manufactured at 55nm, instead of 85nm or a slow GeForce 9500M G, due to the lower clock frequencies.
With only a 64 bit Memory Bus and fairly low clock rates, the performance is quite low so even though it supports DirectX 10, demanding games that use it, will only be playable at low settings.
Very demanding games like Metro 2033 or The Witcher 2 are certainly unplayable, even at the lowest settings, while demanding games like Crysis 2 and Skyrim V might be playable at low settings. Less demanding games should run smoothly at medium or high settings.
