How well can the GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition run games
14 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

A mid level piece of gaming hardware, this GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition graphics card can still meet and run indie system requirements and some of the less demanding AAA games. This card meets game requirements up to DirectX 12.

Here we take a closer look at the various performances across 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions for the GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition. In particular this is looking at the Ultra graphics settings to see what sort of FPS this graphics card can get across some of the more popular games played in 2019. 117 games can be played by this graphics card of the 1000 most demanding games being played by PC gamers today.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order and saw it deliver weak frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. We proceeded to look at Borderlands 3 to see how that compared and saw that it returned a weak 7 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

Moving screen sizes up to 1440p we ran Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order on the GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition to see that it got a weak set of frame rates. Here are the low to ultra results at 1440p - L: 0FPS, M: 0FPS, H: 0FPS, U: 0FPS. Another popular game to test at 1440p with this card was Borderlands 3 which seemed weak in performance netting an Ultra FPS of 5 FPS. Finally we then took a look at Planet Zoo where its Ultra 1440p Frame rates were weak at 0 FPS. In summary we feel the GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition running at 1440p is unable to perform adequately across modern games at this increased resolution.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition in your PC? We think this GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition has around 6-12 months until an upgrade should be considered.

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 950 Inno3D iChill 2GB Edition?
