How well can the GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition run games
28 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

One of the more powerful mid range graphics cards, the GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition might struggle sometimes with the more system demanding game requirements. DirectX 12 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Lets look at the GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition game performance guide for some of the biggest games played in 2019. In particular we will see how well this graphics card runs on Ultra settings on 1080p resolution as well as 1440p and 4K. In comparison to the game recommended requirements of the 1000 most demanding games played today this PC hardware can run 244.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Microsoft Flight Simulator and predict it will deliver weak frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. We proceeded to look at Cyberpunk 2077 to see how that compared and predict that it will return a weak 0 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

As the PC gaming masses explore larger screen resolutions we decided to run some game checks at 1440p across a few popular games. We predict the GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition will run the upcoming game Microsoft Flight Simulator to a weak performance level. Predictions across the graphics settings looked like this, Low: 0 FPS, Medium: 0 FPS, High: 0 FPS and Ultra: 0 FPS. Another game researched was Cyberpunk 2077 with predictions of L: 0FPS, M: 0FPS, H: 0FPS, U: 0FPS. And then we checked graphics card performance on Halo: Reach, which returned L: 179FPS, M: 141FPS, H: 95FPS, U: 68FPS at 1440p. Running games at 1440p with a GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition is going to need to lower its graphics settings to medium on modern games.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition in your PC? This GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition card has 12 to 18 months of latest AAA game play left in it before upgrading should be considered

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition? Are you looking to upgrade a GeForce GTX 960 Zotac AMP! 2GB Edition? Then we would suggest getting a 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB, as it can run 897 of the top 1000 demanding game requirements today with 107% increased graphics performance. Alternatively a good upgrade choice for this graphics card today would be the RX 5000 Series Radeon RX 5500 4GB. For comparison of the 1000 most demanding games around today this suggested upgrade is 52% better and can meet 668 of their recommended requirements.
