This card will meet and play most demanding AAA games and do so with good graphics setting as standard, and confidently pushing past the recommended game system requirements needed to run today’s games. GeForce GTX 970 Gigabyte WindForce 3X OC 4GB Edition is capable of DirectX 12 gaming requirements.

What FPS performance can the GeForce GTX 970 Gigabyte WindForce 3X OC 4GB Edition get on latest AAA 2019 games? Comparing this to Borderlands 3 which is getting reasonable results, where it averages 46 FPS. Another popular game we looked at is Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order, which is running at 30 frames per second.

People are turning their increasingly more powerful graphics cards to the popular 1440p screen size so we tested the GeForce GTX 970 Gigabyte WindForce 3X OC 4GB Edition to see how it performs on 1440p. First off we have researched Cyberpunk 2077 and predict it will be weak. The frame rates predicted for the game presets were - Low: 60 FPS, Medium: 48 FPS, High: 32 FPS and Ultra: 23 FPS. We added Borderlands 3 to our tests and saw it was playable with a 35 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And then tested Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order which got 23 FPS at Ultra 1440p. Looking at a few of these 1440p results for the GeForce GTX 970 Gigabyte WindForce 3X OC 4GB Edition we get the impression that it is not a bad choice for a larger screen size like this. I will combine it with intel core i5-6600K, Asus Z170-P D3 MOBO and 8 GB RAM. Is there any bottle-neck? Any advice for different hardware selection?

I would say if you have a slightly more room in your budget get a little better mobo. If you plan to oc which in your case you should, now or later, your results will be better.

In general i do not want and also i do not know how to oc but do you have any suggestions about mobo? Thnx for the reply

There will be no bottleneck for sure. You will need a cooler even if you wont overclock because this cpu doesnt ship without stock cooler. Gigabyte Z170XP-SLI is a good motherboard for the price, it has all the features of skylake.

Also you may not want to oc now but in some years it you might want to cause it will boost your performance without spending for an upgrade. Which case are you thinking of getting?

Budget: $400
Should I upgrade GPU to this or get a new 1080p monitor, ssd, and psu?
Keep in mind the current psu I have doesn't have connections for the 970 so it would have to be upgraded.
Current stuff: 1360x768 tv and a standard hdd
