While some games have more powerful requirements than this GPU, the Radeon R9 290 PowerColor PCS+ Edition is only really challenged by the most demanding games released today, but normally it is more than capable of running games with a stable frame rate at 1080p. Capable of running games with up to a DirectX 11 requirement.

Game performance for the Radeon R9 290 PowerColor PCS+ Edition where we look at the bigger games played in 2019. Looking closely at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. When considering how well this graphics card can run the 1000 most demanding games available today it can best 487 of the games’ recommended graphics requirements.

Radeon R9 290 PowerColor PCS+ Edition is a special edition of the high-end Radeon R9 290.
This edition comes overclocked out of the box in the central unit which was increased from 947MHz to 1040MHz. The memory clock was increased to 1350MHz. Furthermore, the card comes with a custom triple fan solution which will reduce its temperature under load.
Benchmarks indicate a 3% performance boost over the reference card.
