How well can the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition run games
28 Nov 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

While some games have more powerful requirements than this GPU, the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition is only really challenged by the most demanding games released today, but normally it is more than capable of running games with a stable frame rate at 1080p. All games with system requirements of DirectX 11 or lower are met by this card.

Lets look at the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition game performance guide for some of the biggest games played in 2019. In particular we will see how well this graphics card runs on Ultra settings on 1080p resolution as well as 1440p and 4K. Of the 1000 most demanding recommended specs found in game requirements today, this gpu is more powerful than the graphics requirement of 501 games in todays list.

Running at 1080p this card gets a good frame rate from eFootball PES 2020 with 66 FPS on Ultra. Then we take a look at Red Dead Redemption 2 which returns a playable 42 FPS. Another title that we looked at is the popular Microsoft Flight Simulator which we predict will get a playable 25 FPS.

Increasing resolution to 1440p is something a number of PC gamers are doing today. We tested the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition at 1440p with eFootball PES 2020, which got a reasonable set of FPS results. These were, Low: 133 FPS, Medium: 105 FPS, High: 70 FPS and Ultra: 50 FPS. We then checked out Red Dead Redemption 2 which had a set of graphics results as followed, L: 85FPS, M: 67FPS, H: 45FPS, U: 32FPS. And another popular game was Microsoft Flight Simulator with predictions of L: 50FPS, M: 40FPS, H: 27FPS, U: 19FPS at 1440p. After a look at the popular games running at 1440p with the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition, this is a reasonable performance fit for this resolution. Some of the more resource intensive games may well need a few graphical tweak to get the most out of the graphics card at this increased resolution.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition in your PC? 12-18 months of top end gaming is still left in this graphics card

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition? Upgrading this graphics card would have us consider the 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB which is 47% more powerful. This upgrade choice can also run 899 games from the most demanding games today. Alternatively if you want an upgrade suggestion for the GeForce GTX 760 Asus ROG MARS Edition then a good choice would be R-500 Series Radeon RX 590 8GB as this is better than 855 of the top 1000 most demanding game requirements with 25% better performance as well.

I have been running two of these in an SLI quad config for10 months with no issues. Yes not the best value money wise. And not ideal with a 4K or Multiple monitors as you need a card with more vram. But is a good card for my single monitor.

I would go a minimum of 900 but would prefer 1000-1300 just so You can add water cooling , more hdd's, ECG later if needed. It sucks when your system shuts down when you plug a peripheral in.

Unless it's in the sub 600$ range this is going to be a complete waste of money, anything in the 600-700$ area would be completely useless since the 780ti is priced around the 700$ mark.
And again GD spec pages seem to think SLI/Crossfire means you add the memory of each GPU in the setup, this is wrong.

I find it quite amusing that you ask a question like that while claiming to have what could be considered the best Intel CPU and best nVidia GPU on the market….especially since you seem to think a 15% OC on either of them is necessary.
