13 Dec 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

In today’s PC hardware terms these are considered middle range for gaming performance. DirectX 11 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

How well will the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC Edition run 2019 games? We will take a look at the biggest releases and frames per second analysis on Ultra graphics settings. The GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC Edition can run the recommended graphics system requirements for 227 games today, of the top 1000 most demanding.

First we looked at 1080p resolution for the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC Edition performance to explore what sort of benchmarks it would achieve on the popular title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and saw it deliver weak frames per second across the following graphics settings - Low: 28 FPS, Medium: 22 FPS, High: 15 FPS and Ultra: 11 FPS. We proceeded to look at Microsoft Flight Simulator to see how that compared and predict that it will return a weak 0 FPS at Ultra 1080p.

As the PC gaming masses explore larger screen resolutions we decided to run some game checks at 1440p across a few popular games. We discovered the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC Edition ran Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to a weak performance level. Results across the graphics settings looked like this, Low: 21 FPS, Medium: 17 FPS, High: 11 FPS and Ultra: 8 FPS. And then we checked graphics card performance on Red Dead Redemption 2, which returned L: 33FPS, M: 26FPS, H: 18FPS, U: 13FPS at 1440p. Getting popular modern games to run at 1440p on the GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU II OC Edition is the wrong choice for PC gaming.

Hell of a card, upgraded from a GTX 750 ti to this card. I was originally concerned about upgrading to a older card, but since then I've been maxing out almost every game I play thus far.

There is a bottleneck when it comes to this card though, the 2GB VRAM, which is starting to become the minimium for some games today.
