13 Dec 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

This graphics card offers upper mid level gaming performance. The GeForce GTX 770 Zotac 4GB Edition GPU could struggle if it was to try and run the most demanding games available today, but it meets a lot of game system requirements found in today’s games. DirectX 12 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Here is a performance review on how capable the GeForce GTX 770 Zotac 4GB Edition is at running the more popular games of 2019. Specifically looking at this PC hardware’s ability to get suitable frames per second to play on Ultra game settings and what FPS it might get on 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen res. In comparison to the game recommended requirements of the 1000 most demanding games played today this PC hardware can run 299.

A GeForce GTX 770 Zotac 4GB Edition card at 1080p is seeing a weak frame rate when running Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order on Ultra - 5 FPS. Lets look at the performance its getting on Detroit: Become Human which is 0 FPS. To add a bit more variety lets see how the popular Halo: Reach performs on this hardware, which gets a strong 99 FPS.

People are turning their increasingly more powerful graphics cards to the popular 1440p screen size so we tested the GeForce GTX 770 Zotac 4GB Edition to see how it performs on 1440p. First off we have looked at Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order where it was weak. The frame rates it scored for the game presets were - Low: 9 FPS, Medium: 7 FPS, High: 5 FPS and Ultra: 3 FPS. We added Detroit: Become Human to our tests and saw it was weak with a 0 FPS at Ultra 1440p. And then tested Halo: Reach which got 75 FPS at Ultra 1440p. After a look at the popular games running at 1440p with the GeForce GTX 770 Zotac 4GB Edition, this is a reasonable choice at this screen size. You can always tweak modern game graphics settings to help you get a better High graphics setting experience at 1440p.

GeForce GTX 770 Zotac 4GB Edition Game Requirement Analysis

GeForce GTX 770 Zotac 4GB Edition is a special edition of the high-end GeForce GTX 770.
This edition comes with a custom dual fan cooling solution which by itself allows a slight performance boost, as GeForce GTX 770 benefits from the GPU Boost 2.0 technology.
Its central unit has been increased to 1059MHz and its Boost Clock is now of 1098MHz.
Its memory size was doubled to 4GB which will not yield any performance boost, as this card is not powerful enough to work under circumstances that require that much video memory.
Overall, this card performs up to 4% better than the reference card.
