How well can the GeForce GTX 770 SLI run games
13 Dec 2019 - Graphics card reviewed

Gamers upgrading will be considering the GeForce GTX 770 SLI graphics card as a serious price to performance entry point. This card will meet and play most demanding AAA games and do so with good graphics setting as standard, and confidently pushing past the recommended game system requirements needed to run today’s games. DirectX 11 gaming system requirements will be met by this gpu.

Game performance for the GeForce GTX 770 SLI where we look at the bigger games played in 2019. Looking closely at the graphics card frame rate performance on Ultra graphics settings at 1080p, 1440p and 4K screen resolutions. 762 games can be played by this graphics card of the 1000 most demanding games being played by PC gamers today.

Looking at some of the modern popular games people are playing today the GeForce GTX 770 SLI is running Halo: Reach and delivering strong performances on 1080p Ultra, getting 144 frames per second. Comparing this to Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order which is getting playable results, where it averages 35 FPS. Another popular game we looked at is Resident Evil 3 Remake, which is predicted to run at 55 frames per second.

As the PC gaming masses explore larger screen resolutions we decided to run some game checks at 1440p across a few popular games. We discovered the GeForce GTX 770 SLI ran Halo: Reach to a strong performance level. Results across the graphics settings looked like this, Low: 290 FPS, Medium: 228 FPS, High: 154 FPS and Ultra: 110 FPS. Another game tested was Star Wars: Jedi - Fallen Order, L: 69FPS, M: 55FPS, H: 37FPS, U: 26FPS. And then we researched potential graphics card performance on Resident Evil 3 Remake, wih estimates revealing L: 110FPS, M: 86FPS, H: 58FPS, U: 42FPS at 1440p. Gaming at 1440p with the GeForce GTX 770 SLI is a very strong choice of graphics cards at higher resolution gaming. 4K gaming with this graphics card is certainly something that can be achieved across a number of the latest games and still achieve good graphics settings at those resolutions. Ultra 1440p is also a regular occurrence with this gpu.

How many years will the GeForce GTX 770 SLI graphics card play newly released games and how long until you should consider upgrading the GeForce GTX 770 SLI in your PC? No graphics card upgrade required for 2 to 3 years of meeting top end game system requirements

Whats a good PC graphics upgrade for the GeForce GTX 770 SLI? A great upgrade graphics card would be a 16 Series GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB, which has 28% better performance and can run 893 of the top 1000 demanding game requirements today. Alternatively if you are thinking of upgrading this graphics card then we would currently suggest the R-500 Series Radeon RX Vega 56 8GB. This PC hardware upgrade performs 34% better and can run 957 of today’s 1000 most demanding PC games.

GeForce GTX 770 SLI Game Requirement Analysis

GeForce GTX 770 SLI is a combination of 2 GeForce GTX 770 put together using NVIDIA's SLI technology.
Together, this combination offers 3072 Shader Processing Units, 256 TMUs and 64 ROPs. This, on a 256-bit memory interface, per card, of fast GDDR5. While the central unit runs at 1046MHz and goes up to 1085MHz, in Turbo Mode, the memory clock operates at 1752MHz.
Best case scenario, this combination performs better than dual-graphics GeForce GTX 690 but ultimately, its performance depends on the driver support and on the 3D application.
Therefore, and paired with a powerful processor, all demanding games are playable at the highest settings. Still, this combination might surpass the 450W barrier of TDP and so it will require a very powerful PSU.

not on 1080p :) if u plan on 1440p then go for i7, otherwise u will get bottlenecked!! And any good 750-850w psu will be enough. eg. corsair rm750, rm 850(using)

if u r going to change ur mobo then why lga 1155 go with lga 1150. anyway as u asked, here is some:- asus maximus v gene, asrock z77 extreme6/tb4, gigabyte g1 sniper m3. 770sli is a massive overkill for 1080p. 660sli will last for 3-4 years

4570>(-6%)3470 and 4670>(-8%)4570. u said that u want to change mobo that's why i told u to buy 4th gen. though the difference wouldn't be much noticable but will be more futureproof and latest that 4670 is -15% powerful than 3470….

not a bit
saw a 680gtx pcie comparision the card can to 100% on a pcie3x8 and 99% on a pcie2x8 if you go down to pcie3x4(like most cheap mobos do) you get 95% so x8 is recomended then you have 2 times x8 i dont think you cpu can handle 32 lanes also there is no differenz no 2x8lanes

With your CPU, motherboard, RAM, SSD (If any) and HDD your setup would take approximately 640 watts, I'd pick a 750 watts Corsair CS or anything alike since that's more than sufficient, 850 is a bit overkill.

Well, don't worry about it then. It isn't recommended that people OC their hardware if they don't really know what they're doing. A lot of CPU's and GPU's have been fried that way :P

I don't believe an i5 CPU would bottleneck SLI 770's to be frank, even though the best matchup's an i7. Though if it'd happen to be less than required you could make an attempt on OCing 10% or so (Just remember to switch from stock cooler)
